Mase Kit installed and Tuned
I recently upgraded my Greddy kit to the Mase Engineering turbo kit with the 5857 Turbo and had PSI (Portland Speed Industries) install and tune the kit. We ended with 380whp@13PSI on a conservative tune set for California 91 craptane gas. Ill have my review on this kit in a few weeks.
Overall my tuner rated the fitment of this kit to be 8/10. Some of the concerns were:
-- vtec solenoid near lots heat (long term)
-- coolant line around oil filter to short/hard access to filter
-- missing intercooler bolts
-- heat melting air filter
-- not enough heat wrap to keep everything safe
-- manifold cracking due to stress, turbo weight on mani
Power Mods:
-- Stock AP2 motor
-- Mase Engineering Kit w/ 5857 Turbo Kit
-- Tuned on AEM EMS By Jason @ Portland Speed Industries
-- RC 650 injectors
-- Berk 70mm HFC
-- Greddy 70mm single exhaust

What psi are you at with 387whp? I have some of the same gripes. I wasnt thrilled about the way in which mase wants you to mount the intercooler. Would have rather seen an s2000 specific intercooler that was prefabed to fit the s2000 in a cleaner fashion. This wouldnt have taken much effort. We ended up shortening the end tanks ever so slightly and sliding the entire unit up into the space between the frame, and bolting it there. That way the frame doesnt need notched to shit.
The other gripe was with the coolant line wrapping arount the filter like its supposed to be. We ended up pulling the OEM cooler and running an external laminova just to get the lines untied from underneath the manifold.
I have heard great things about PSI from a buddy up in boise who has been there. It looks like a VERY clean facility and a reputable shop to say the least.
I look forward to your review...... LOOKS MINTY...... AGAIN.... WHEELS..

Beautiful kit and car, but I must say I am not impressed with those numbers. My inline log kit made almost that at 2psi less.
What's the injector duty cycle at that power level on the 650's? I bet it's up there...
