Default MASSIVE OIL LEAK HELP!

I am leaking about a quart ever ten miles. YES 10 MILES thats not a typo, then it proceeds to get onto exhaust parts and smoke excessively. I am almost positive it is coming from the oil feed or oil return lines on the turbo. I was told by a mechanic that the turbo needs to be replaced?!?! It is a mitsubishi turbo pretty sure its a 14b.

I was under the impression it might have been like an O-ring or something????

if its coming from the lines... then you would prob have to use the white paste to seal the threads... to prevent oil from leaking. thats what i had to do on my setup... otherwise it would leak.

Check your oil filter. I had a similar problem after about 100 miles of driving on my kit. Turns out the oil filter wasnt sealing to the block and oil was spraying all over hot side of the engine.

Or you split the gasket. (done that before)

You could have a double gasket?

haha its a 4G63(Eclipse GSX motor) in an eclipse GSX 92 lol. it is a t4 flange if they make a manifold with that flange for the S2000 it should bolt up. Anyhow, I dont THINK its the filter as there is an oil slick on the cross member right below the oil return line for the turbo.

Here is the puzzling part though, There is no oil on the turbo, around the oil lines at least. Is this because it gets hot enough to basically clean itself off??

It only leaks when the motor is running as there is no oil spot under the car when it sits...

by the way if they make a T4 flanged manifold, then you COULD go with the evo 16g turbo
