With the comptech ESM, for and walbro fuel pump, is it possible to run a smaller ap2 pulley?

since i have fmic so im wondering if its better buying a 4.3" than a 4.6". ill be running stock boost for a while

The base kit makes 5.5psi. With an fmic you will be lucking to see 3psi. It doesn’t matter what size pulley you run, if your motor never sees that pressure then your base system will support it. I would imagine a 3.8-4" pulley form SOS is what it will take to bring you back up to 5-7psi with the base system, with ESM and RRFPR it will handle that no problem. Don’t waste your time looking for the larger 4.2 ap2 pulley. They are hard to come buy anyway.

SOS discontinued a few of these sizes for the novi 1000. Yes there is a 4". You may need to shop around for used however. You can do some searches on other manufactures for these sizes as well. Just make sure its for a Novi 1000 with 7/8" shaft diameter.

I have a 3.2 that I just got from SOS. Makes 400whp but thats with EMS, injectors, and 4-bar maf sensor. Upgraded fuel pump is not needed if you use injectors and a tune. But you wont make that kind of power with a FMIC. You need to switch and get an aftercooler. I did and gained 40whp just from that alone.

If you’re going to stick to running stock injectors and RRFPR as the base system comes, then you will need a higher flow fuel pump. This is due to the increased fuel pressure required to run that system with the rrfpr.
