Unhappy maybe i'm missing something

okay so i'm looking through all the dyno charts of all the F/I s2k's and i'm looking at all of them and i see maybe one that actually shows that VTEC engaged... i mean i know having a F/I and putting down huge numbers who cares about VTEC's extra 20hp lol idk i was just like where did it go? instead of the little jump at 6k it's a straight line/curve?

anyone know this reason? maybe the tune?

yes....it's in the tune.mine is a stock S/C without a tune...you can see the crossover in my dyno chart.Turbos spool up before Vtec and the ones with the S/C that are tuned set the vtec engagment point lower and smooth it out with a ems.

peace

Is it a sudden jump or just a power deficit before VTEC? Glass half full, half empty.

THe reason you don't see it with a turbo is that there is power from way below the VTEC engagement point so the transition is smooth. The glass is always overflowing.

I agree with enthralled...turbo kits are at full boost before 6k. And usually, people with superchargers lower their vtec engagement point lower, usually down to about 4000rpm.
