S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

This might be a stupid question.

Ok like I said this might be a stupid question but is it possible to install a turbo and just not run any boost. The reason I ask is because I have a friend in town that is a mechanic and he is going to help me put my turbo kit in. I have everything in my turbo kit except the engine management. So would I be able to just put the turbo in and not run any boost? I also have the walbro fuel pump and 750cc injectors. If I am able to put the turbo in should I put those in or no. BTW it is a custom turbo kit if that matters.

i would be careful because the turbo would be free spinning, without any load. So it will overspin its efficiency range and probably damage the bearings/wheel etc...

If you run stock engine management you shouldnt install the new map or injectors...

you could put the walbro pump though.

I would wait until you can just take it to the tuner, that would cut down on issues!

What if I ran it at like 1 or 2 PSI. Would my car freak out?

Disconnect your charge piping at your throttle body and place a filter on it instead. As long as your turbo is lubricated (oil lines connected), it can free spin all it wants. I'd stay out of any significant amount of throttle (under 20%) to keep the exhaust gas flow to a minimum and keep the turbine/compressor wheel spinning as slow as possible.

Put your bigger injectors/EMS in at the tuner. The whole point of this is to limp the car a short distance to a tuner...right?
