Default Miles you started boosting...

I'm very seriously looking into the option of supercharging my S2000 with an SoS kit, but is 60k miles too many? Will I simply end up at 80+k miles needing to go back to stock or rebuild the motor? Would I perhaps be better off selling my car and trying to pick up a low miles 06-09 and start "fresh" at say 10-20k?

How many miles did you start boosting, and how many are you at now? :-)

Lol, I think you're fine. I boosted at 130k, and am at 137k now a year later. Talk to Moddiction. He's got a high mileage SCd car with a good amount of boosted miles on it.

You need to get a compression/leak down test done to make sure the motor is in good condition, but if that checks out OK then I say go for it!

my brother turbo his s2000 at 160,000 miles and not hes at 185,000. All on the original engine and transmission with a ptuning gtx3076r kit making about 400whp.

I went turbo at about 85,000 miles now i.m at about 107,000 with a track forged gtx3576r kit making 442whp.

Both the cars are daily driven 15,000+ a year in hot Los Angeles stop and go traffic with ac blasting.

I boosted at 137k. But what he said, check compression and leakdown test the motor. If those are good, and the motor is in good shape, not burning oil or anything, do it! Boost brings this car to LIFE

I have 147k miles on the car and will be boosting ~12psi on a supercharger in the next couple months. The only thing I'm doing to refresh the motor is upgrading my ap1 intake retainers / keepers to ap2 and getting a valve adjustment. Gonna put all new fluids in and boost the hell out of it. The car burns about .5 - 1 qt of oil every couple thousand miles, but that's fairly normal for an ap1. I'm not worried about having any issues with boost. Especially on a SC

I boosted at 125k. Supercharged at 12.5 psi making over 400whp. I'm now at 183k miles running strong and still making over 400whp. Stock original motor trans etc.
