Thanks to all for the terrific responses! I'm used to assuming that high compression + high revving means low boost, or not boost at all for extended or high mileage application. Why'd they quit making the s2k again?! It seems virtually bulletproof!

Compression test, leakdown test, and boost time! The only thing the S has ever been missing in my mind is more power, seems like soon she'll have more than plenty! Thanks again guys!

My serp belt is original. Lol. Boosted at 70k now at 80k 3 years later. I know. I barely drive but the car still finds ways to break. I just rebuild everytime. It's always been something small as well. Manifold cracks or a small leak. Pfab kit has been great though.

That's just incredible.

You guys running high boost >400whp -- what kind of safety provisions are you putting in place? From my research it almost seems like as long as you give the motor enough fuel, it's happy to take whatever you can throw at it, and that high horsepower application is more a limitation of the tranny / diff / axles. True or false? :-)

True for the most part. A big factor is the tune. Make sure you get a good tune and don't cheap out on the hardware and your engine will thank you with many trouble free miles. It's the transmission / drivetrain that tends to go first on these cars. Especially if you are drag racing / launching hard or just really abusive in general in your driving manners
