Default mods effect the accuracy of speedometer?

Ok i know this sounds like a dumb question but i have never boosted a car before and had large power gains. and on mt 2001 ap1 im thinking of doing the IP gt35r kit and i dont know what that will do to my stock guages accuracy? any help on things that will also effect the accuracy would be appreciated and also ways to tweak the guages or w.e to get back to accurate readings.... thanks in advance

what gauges are you concerned about? speedometer will stay as accurate as it was out of the factory provided you keep the same aspect tires and gears....

temp will obviously (or maybe not so obviously) stay as accurate as it is provided you don't change any temp related parts or go to AEM...

can you be more specific about what you are specifically worried about?

engine swaps the gauges should still be accurate if the same sensors were retained. speedo will be inaccurate only if you make changes to the final drive gear or wheel/tire sizes

^ Agreed.
Also if yo udo go with AEM and upgrade the valve train your tach won't handle the revs...

tire ratio, rear end changes and swapping tranny's will all change the speedo. Using a GPS will tell you how far off the two are.
