Default Reccomended mods for an FI car?

What are some reccomended modifications/parts that you would put on a car with a supercharger on it? Are things like beefed up engine internals necessary for running 6psi of boost? How about a beefier differential or axles? Will the car be fine without these upgrades, or will they break prematurely?

Thanks!

It really depends how you drive it. Treat it kindly and the drive train should be fine. Abuse it and it'll fall apart real quick. Same goes for NA, it's just that an SC gives you more ability to abuse.

^^ Aus pretty much covered all the general parts. It reall all depends on your driving habbits.

I've seen people go through differentials left and right with standard pulley superchargers. However I've also seen some people running 9psi pulleys on stock differential with no problems.

Make sure you get some gauges to monitor what is going on. On my second time around with the Vortech I have a boost gauge, AEM A/F gauge and oil pressure. My engine seized and died a month ago and I LOVE knowing the oil pressure at all times. Also, it is excellent to know what you A/F is at WOT because without a gauge, you will not know if it is too lean and if you will blow your engine.

Also, My stock clutch slipped at high rpm's under boost with quick shifting. My clutch was about to go but they noticed it when they had the engine out and replaced it.

So, like the others said, it depdends on your driving habits but I would never think of having this kit without a A/F gauge, boost gauge (to make sure you are getting all 6/7psi) and oil pressure gauge.

Agree the above post, I would be crapping myself if I didnt have my PLX wideband in there. Not only does it monitor AFR, but displays knock and boost.
