I guess time will tell. Granted, it depends how often you beat on the car, but they get filthy fast, and start to smell.

I guess we, as a group, need to find a better solution. Like a "turbo flow slower downer."
I'm thinking of creating a stock cat stockpile; thank god for test pipes! they create a cheap market for s2000 cats

giles said he is putting some crazy cat into his turbo s2000 that will be so nice even I will want one.. we'll see what that is

Now all I have to do is try and figure out why I sometimes get that dumb CEL (P0140) secondary air injection...

I can't for the life of me figure out what the hell is wrong.

Do you have your vacuum lines hooked correctly to the part that was relocated to the center of the front crossmember?

I believe they are. I will do a teardown when I do my suspension and check everything again.

Dave, yea, I spoke to Giles. He also told me to check the air pump hoses. He also told me it might have something to do with the test pipe, since the pump is there to heat the cat up, but he wasn't sure, and I don't think that's it. There are plenty of people running around with a test pipe without CELs, and the CELs they MIGHT get are O2 cels.

[QUOTE=NFRs2000NYC,Jun 30 2008, 02:25 AM] Raising VTEC sometime is very beneficial.

If you hear a small hiss coming from the valve, just reverse the lines.

Please be a bit more specific...I have been hearing a slight hiss under the hood, but am not sure where to look (might be normal.)

Thanks!

congrats on the tune!!

I've seen Ptuning change the VTEC engagement point also, with great success. Makes me want to do rewire my harness and get retuned!

Seems like that is the solution for getting rid of the vtec dip.

So no more laggy feel at top end, like most people complain about?

giles also tuned my car

the car pulls nicely to redline but there is less 'urgency' from 7-8k than there is before.. giles (the tuner NFR-Dave and I used) said it is because of the flat torque curve.. make no mistake.. the car is making the most power between 7-8k so no need to short shift!
