Default Is my block labeled wrong?

I have ordered all my new parts for my engine build but was waiting until I dissesembled it to order my OEM bearings. Everything looks good and in order HOWEVER the stamps on the block to identify the crankshaft bore code seems to be missing a letter. Am I wrong????? What am I missing??? Should I assume the missing letter is a B also??? Any thought are appreciated.

all 4 bores are b piston the frm liners run either a or b if this is the top of the motor the crank numbers/ letters should be on the bottom on the griddle

So I sent my block off to Darton to get sleeved before checking the girdle. They have confirmed there is no marking on the bottom. Can anyone explain this?
