Default My car is broken

ok guys, as you know I just got my greddy kit installed last week. I got it dyno'ed and my tuner said that it was running way too rich after 7K and also I was only making 201whp. We thought that I was supplied the wrong map so I am taking it back this wednesday for a complete retune. Anyways, I was driving it yesterday and everytime I slowed down to come to a stop my car would bog and then the rpm's would drop and it would feel like I was going to stall. Well at the next red light, it did stall. So I drove it back home and stopped driving it.

Then, I had Karno(another greddy kit owner who had the same MAP problems) send me the emanage software and the greddy base map that they sent him. I erased the stock tune and put on the base map and then tried to start my car. Well, as soon as I started, the idle was all random, it would idle at 900-1000 rpm and then drop down to 200 then up and down and up and down. Also, there was a really really strong fuel smell in my garage and when I revved it white smoke came out of my exhaust.

Next I was told that I should try driving the car easily around the block to run through a couple of cycles because the due to all the starting and idleing w/o driving the turbo had too much oil in it. So I tried this. NOT GOOD! The car stalled again, it idled at 100 rpm and when I restarted the car I tried to go and there was NO POWER to my wheels, in addition the exhaust sounded really muffled and odd. The only way to get my car running was to rev it up to 3k and dump clutch to move. Then the check oil light kept coming on and off.

Last problem, there is a clanking kind of noise when the motor is on, I dont know how to explain it other than some kind of banging noise. It is not constant but starts and stops.

I know this is a long thread and a lot of problems, but if anyone who actually knows something about FI could help me out with some suggestions. Sorry if I made statements that dont make sense. I dont really know too much about cars..still learning

I'm planning on towing my car to the shop this wednesday.

Yep something is fundamentally wrong - too many possibilities to say. It could be something very simple too, so hang in there. I know the map Karno's using works because I've run it also.

it sounds like it might be running rich? Map sensor? If the rpms go low, that could get the oil pressure light to come on... unless you spun a bearing, and thats causing the light to come on? whats your oil level? its all speculation though...

White smoke= coolant.
If it was running extremely rich it would be pouring out pure black smoke which would be easily distinguished from white.
What kind of HG are you using?
This may be more complex then just a tune.

my car is stock besides the turbo kit and my hks exhaust. oil level is ok, and I am low on coolant though because I dont think my shop refilled it when they did the install.

i got it installed at xs-engineering in Garden Grove.

check your oil cap and dipstick for mayonaise
bring your coolant level up to par and purge the air out of it. When that is done check for oil on the top of the radiator.

Are you sure the smoke was white??
