Ok the lack of power stalling and muffled exhaust sounds alot like a clogged cat possibly from when it ran super rich. The clunking sounds and oil light sounds like maybe a you spun a bearing or the oil pump is starting to fail. The white smoke is usually a hg problem but sometimes if ya run to rich itll actually put off a weird brownish grayish smoke instead of the normal black. Also usually if its coolant you will smell a sweet burning smell. I would highly recomend a compression and leak down test.

grey smoke can mean its running really lean which can also cause a hg failure if yo uare lucky, as oppised to the whole engine.

White smoke= coolant.
If it was running extremely rich it would be pouring out pure black smoke which would be easily distinguished from white.
What kind of HG are you using?
This may be more complex then just a tune.
i know white smoke equals coolant, but it also could be a byproduct of the combustion reaction, meanings its those o2 molecules that bonded with the hydrocarbons. he did say he smelled a strong smell of fuel!

Personally, i would do like an earlier poster said and check your compression as well as a leak down test... also look to see if your coolant level goes down after the motor has cooled down! Considering you had a shop install the kit, i am guessing you could have them do these things as well...

If XS installed it, take it back to them to have them troubleshoot it. Someone else had this stalling problem and they found out a vacuum line was disconnected. Since you said you dont know much, have a certified mechanic check out all the lines and hardware.

yeah i will, and last time i was there they already found a mis-connected vacuum hose and fixed it. i'll have them go through everything and hopefully they can determine the problem. or problems.

as far as the smoke, it def was not black, something lighter. and yes i initially thought it was a clogged cat as well.

anyways, phil was over today and said it sounds like a rod or piston but he can't be sure. i will keep you guys updated, but i won't know anything till i take it into XS on wed. or later.

Im not sure if this will help but my car does this too. The muffled sound happens and i lose massive amounts of power. I think its my emanage as this happened while i was trying to get a datalog, and during this problem the computer popped up with a cylinder error. I have a feeling that the emanage is the problem, because as soon as i restart the car it feels great. Im getting aem standalone this week, hopefully this will solve the problems.
