The ignition curve looks odd at 9500 where there are big increases in the amount of timing. When you look at the 3D map of it, everything should look relatively smooth, with very few localized "holes" or "eruptions"

My $.02. Totally back up what TimG states on exhaust manifolding vs. reversion. Log manis have more reversion and thus tend to do better with VTEC set higher. My little GT3076R likes VTEC at 4000 RPM whereas my old Ultimate Racing log was 6100 RPM.

If you're making those numbers on a stock bottom end w/stock HG, you're doing OK. I think the bottom chart of your graph showed actual boost (not air/fuel ratio), correct?

It is ALL in the tune though -- I updated my firmware to AEM ver 1.19 along with a boost-comp based map and noticed a bit smoother cruise, FWIW.

I did not notice he was running such high boost thats, really, low for 12,13psi you need a new tuner for sure and spec ops I have seen your car in videos online real nice man, kill some 350z's for me.
350z's are like racing mopeds

I'll be looking for a new tuner.

I'm running the stock headgasket and firmware 1.19. The thing that concerns me the is that the fact that I'm using the stock map sensor and a little too much boost for it. I'll have to add a upgrade to the list, I think.

The car drives alittle "sluggish" during off boost stop and go and I compared the stock ignition map with this one and it looks like its down a lot on timming. Under boost it seems okay but Im coming from a supercharged mustang as my previous car.

Here are the graphs:

Fuel:

Ignition:

Tim,

I took a look at my ignition map at the same peak look levels and I am running significantly more timing. I am supercharged...but should the timing maps be quite similar?

Best,

Jorge
SC and tubular versus log manifold: The SC and tubular ignition maps should have more timing. They can run more timing before hitting knock. Log manifolds lower the knock threshold.

I missed that the OP is running 12-13 psi of boost. Those power levels may be slightly low for that much boost. (different dynos can have wildly different results) Your A/F ratio is also uncomfortably lean. For 6 psi, I don't mind 12:1. For 10+ psi, you should definitely be lower than 12:1- ideally around 11.5:1. On a stock motor, your biggest concern should be safety and keeping it together.

Tim

If your torque keeps climbing near redline then you are getting boost creep. Like others mentioned get a good boost controller.

Is it just me or do the pictures of your sparkplugs show little metal specs around the electrode? That looks like detonation.
