I also need to get hardware so I can hook up the hoses,
What size fittings does this take?

FWIW
The last time that I mounted a large heat exchanger, I bought some oil cooler mounting brackets and modified them for the base and 1x3/16 aluminum stock from Ace Hardware for the upper/side mounts.
I need to get 2 3/4 x 1/2 hose barb fittings

I bought exactly the same unit last spring and its working out great. This provides a huge increase in heat exchange area compared to the standard Comptech unit. I was shocked how heavy it was. There is a lot of aluminum there. This unit is about as big as can possibly fit and that makes mounting it more of a challenge. Here is a picture of the mounting arrangement I used. This is before adding gussets and paint. It picks up existing holes by the bumper attachments. The vertical bar to the left supports my methanol tank, so just ignore that.

Yeah I love it along with my new front bumper! I just got a piece of aluminum welded on each side and bolted it up. Seems stronger than I thought.

I am definitely interested in doing this. The stock vortech one is tiny. Did you upgrade the water pump as well??

Any updates on this? I am very interested in getting one like this and the SOS one runs $400 so this seems like a very good alternative
