Thanks guys...I'm running 15lbs' as it's a dd and I want to keep it on the more reliable side.
The wastegate noise it really really really one more really bad...I haven't been able to really get on the car because it's too damn loud. I'm sure cops can hear it 1/2 a mile away...it sounds like a race bike or something...it's really bad. Once i have it routed through the exhaust is should improve a lot. ...I hope

u changed from the gt35r?
please tell me you have a switch though to kick in hi boost, with lower compression from 3mm HG and that turbo you should aim for 500ish on evans dyno on hi boost
only reliability issues would be tranny/rear, and well, 425 or 500, they are just as prone to break on a shift. i think 550ish and up things break in gear ROFL.
me i woulda kept the gt35r since you had full race mani. spool wouldnt be that much different but power out put woulda been more
either way i am sure 425 feels awesome.

so after a day more of driving around I'm learning how to manipulate the throttle more so that I just let the wastegate open a bit and then I shift gears. Also spoke with minitoyota and we realized I can just use a larger spring in the wastegate and then not worry about it opening until I hit that higher boost level, which on a regular driving would alow me to enjoy the turbo at high acceleration but not the full amount which is more then fine for me. I do have a low/high setting but am running an 8lb wastegate spring so my low boost is only 330. I also have a mugen exhaust which is a 63mm pipe and is thus restricting probably around 40-50 hp. So I think I'm going to get a larger spring and then increase the highboost setting...thinking about doing like a 12/14lb spring for low boost and then maybe do like 18lbs for high boost. Have to say after driving around all day I am loving this now!
haha i knew you would like it. I have a electronic boost controller that takes my 44mm Tial from 7.25psi to 12psi for the street. Like you say if you dont want to hear the gate then keep boost pressure about 1-2psi below wg spring opening and youll hear the scream of the compressor without the howl of the gate. I do this on my 3076R all the time because it sounds so sick at part throttle with the compressor whine. I drive my car all teh time too and just love it for response on the street.

Im confused, I personally would rather hear the turbo not the W/G I plan on high boost of 20PSI with METH, however I want low boost of 12-15psi, so I should get a Spring of what???? 10lbs?
thats what i went with.. i plan on running 10-12 psi daily and 20+ on race

that would make me hear the W/G even more though wouldn't it?
Tial 44 mm w/ 7.25psi spring.
My AEM tru-boost holds the gate closed until 10psi and then it will barely make noise. At WOT boost hits 12psi and the gate screams. On my 18psi setting even when @ WOT the gate is drowned out by my turbo no joke. The higher boost you run the less work the gate does. Make sense?
