Default My Godzilla bov impression...

I received my godzilla bov and I can't believe how big it is...

Anyways, I bought it new and it looks like it has been used...light scratches on the bov?
Is this normal? It's nothing major...a few swirl/fine scrathes...

Also, do I remove my stock comptech bypass valve when installing the godzilla...I haven't received my sc yet...I'm getting it monday.

I just hope it sounds nice.

You need to remove the bypass and hose, and also the fitting on the base of the AC. The BOV's mount plate screws in in place of the fitting.

You'll also need to plug the hole where the old bypass went into the plastic intake hose.

Because of the fitting on the BOV, it allows it to be positioned any direction you prefer. I initially had it installed with the horn facing up but the bypass feature of the BOV was too loud for me at cruising speed with the top/down.... I ended up turning the horn down to the ground and now it's not too bad.

If you rev to 4000 you will start to hear it... If you rev into Vtec it is loud....and people start running for their lives...

Is the GODZILLA really necessary for the Comptech kit since it says it's designed for high boost applications or will the RAPTOR be sufficient? I realize the GODZILLA looks badass!

Good question...

The whole deal on the BOV options for the SC'd S2000's has been whether it's loud or not. People who are putting out money for a sound want as loud of noise as possible. The Godzilla has been proven to be if not THE loudest, one of the loudest out there.

The Raptor which is also made by Turbonetics is a smaller version and probably also for lower boost applications. The issue with this BOV is that the flange is a 2 bolt and is not a direct bolt on replacement for the Comptech AC flange. You will have to fabricate a flange to fit the Raptor onto the SC or AC flange.

The Godzilla comes out of the box and bolts on to the AC flange in 10 minutes.

Sometimes easiest is not the best.......why don't you give the Raptor a try and let me hear it..

You can buy mine
(look in sig)

I just came back from the shop where I installed my Greddyt Type S. The flange that they made for me was a little long and I had to beat the shit out of my fan shield for it to fit. One thing I can say is that its LOUD!!!! My godzilla was pretty loud but this one is INSANE. You can probabaly hear it from like 5 blocks away. If you want loud then definetly go with the Greddy. I really liked how the Godzilla matched everything under the engine bay though, it looked really clean and like it was supposed to be there.

^^ I like the sound of that.....

Can we get a sound clip?

How does it sound at cruising cause I understand that it's not playing the bypass role it's just shut till it's opened. Any loss or harm done from not venting the air?

Do tell...... do tell.......
