Setup:
GT30/71R(4psi of boost@5k rpm, dry revving )
LoveFab Mini-me
3" downpipe, 3-4" exhaust.
22X9X3 FMIC, 2.5" AL piping
TiAL 44mm, 50mm WG/BOV
RC 750cc injectors
AEM EMS

Stock driveline

We dyno this Friday, anticipating a MINIMUM of 250rwhp on a Mustange dyno, .4 bar WG spring.
Get ready for some pictures:

Comments on the bodywork...
Rear bumper was ed up from the accident. We cut the bad part off, repainted, this was the result.

The hood was purchased based on PURE function. Once we dyno and get things sorted out, I plan on swapping to a top-mount(or Vmount) IC location, so there will only be about 8" of IC piping between the IC, turbo, and TB. The vented hood wil facilitate the use of that nicely =)
Whatcha all think?

whats up fellow michigander, nice to see someone in michigan with a turbo, i am really jones'in for one, but i am still doing my research. You are gonna have to come down to one of our meets this spring, i would luv to see your setup, it looks good and clean! but i am surprised that you are only expecting to get 250 rwhp, but you do only have it at 5lbs. of boost right?

Good luck, please post the results after the dyno!!

thanx
fred

NICE SETUP!!!

umm... is that a straight pipe for the exhaust? diameter is prolly right, but someone correct me if i'm wrong... does he not need backpressure for VTEC. or would that cut down on the peak hp output of the turbo?

Yes, Im initially going to run the dyno with just the wastegate spring, which is 5.8psi. Also, that is 250whp from a Mustang dyno, which usually reads about 15% lower than the more common DynoJets. At that percentage rate, thats 287whp on a Dynojet.
The tuner says that 300whp seems to be the pump gas limit on his dyno, with the stock motor. If I hit that, than on a Dynojet, we'd see around 345whp.
But from researching other's setups, 280whp(dynojet) seems to be real easy and common, which is why I guestimated 250whp for the dyno that Ill be running on. Lost yet?

Yes its straight 3" from the turbo back to the rear axle-line, then I flared to 4" so the last bend is as straight as possible because if flares to 4". And for looks
Ill be building a nice street exhaust with mufflers and all later. As you can see, I still have two solid months of snow before I have to worry about that.

How long have you been on this setup - or should I say - how many street driven miles have you been on this? Care to pass along what this ran you in $$$?

I'm looking forward to seeing the toque scale on the dyno sheet.

Damn Im good!
312whp, 202wtq on a Mustang dyno. A stock S2000 will be lucky to put down 170whpon this dyno, just for comparison.
Torque slams into the high 190 range from 3500rpm, all the way to 8k rpm, where it peaks at 202, then slightly drops after that.
Seeing full boost at 3500-3900, have to review the logs more closely before I toss out an exact number.
Overall, the car isnt even the same beast. GOBS of torque in just partial throttle driving(youll hit 5psi by 4krpm partial throttle, not even paying attention).
Ill say more when I get the graph/video uploaded!

Hey Cody, I emailed you the other day about this turbo setup. Damn you put out some pretty good numbers with that thing I'm impressed. When you are completed with this turbo is the standard boost going to be 5-6 or higher. Thanks
Jason
