Default My Vortech V2 build and installation with J0kk3rr

Well I finally got the car up and running I tried to document it as well as I could but honestly through this whole process the last thing on my mind was taking pics. I'm not the greatest at this kind of stuff so here it goes. hope you guys enjoy it.

This was probably the hardest thing to do on this whole build. And honestly I have to give J0kk3rr most of the credit on the stripping and polishing, without him I would still be working on these pieces.
Heres Jesse aka J0kk3rr putting in work

Heres how it turned out as far as I know its the only fully polished kit on the S

Next was getting the car in the air so we could begin the clutch and pressure plate install.

After about 3 hours of laying on our backs the transmission was finally out.

ACT PP and Street disc are in along with the transmisson

While we were down there we thought it would be a good time to remove the oil pan to have it tapped for the oil return line

Next we made room for the blower and aftercooler

somewhat got the blower mounted

Right after the blower was put on we got a surprise visit from our good friend Ale. He showed up with some goodies for me. Volk ce28s

That same night we also installed my haltech ECU and Haltech wideband with the Haltech gauge

The next day we got most of the kit on and had our first start up later that night as well.

The next day we threw the drive shaft in and got the car on the ground so I could head over to my tuners house (B.R.I.A.N)

Here we are doing some street tuning i haven't made it to the dyno yet since i'm still re-cooperating from all the money i spent lol

Here a shot of my car when i had the oem hardtop but unfortunately i had to sell it to start/complete this little project.

I know this isn't the best laid out build but the whole point of this thread is to show my appreciation to Jesse aka J0kk3rr for all the help he gave me. without him i wouldn't have been able to get all these things done. so long story short thank you Jesse! thanks for looking at my thread guys i hope you enjoyed the pics.

it's running the 14 psi pulley at the moment. according to the log it's hitting ~13 psi. it's still on a stock header and a stock exhaust. the only other mod besides the supercharger is a test pipe. i'm sure with a bigger exhaust it'll hit 14 psi.

Man, I was rocking an epic beard! I had a great time, the thing is crazy to drive! Its strange in a way; it feels like the same car, but damn, it just moves with a much greater sense of urgency. anyone looking to do this, I can not stress enough if you are buying a kit used, to take the parts list with you and MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS THERE, a great deal of time could have been saved if we actually had all the parts ready to go. All-in-all, it isn't that hard of a job but it can get frustrating. The forums are a great resource, everything we had trouble with could be found here. good times, i look forward to the next big project... Project wide-body

Belt tension, and selection of the right belt was a big problem, the thread that has the belt sizes was way off, i would recommend buying a couple of belts and making sure you DO NOT over-tighten the belt. If you have to force it on at all, it will pop and very bad things can happen. its also annoying that you have to remove the whole supercharger unit to replace the belt, so make sure the belt is on before you bolt the mount together or you'll just have to remove it.

the fuel pump wasn't bad, make sure you have a skinny friend or you yourself are a skinny dude, because there is precious little space. might be a good idea to try to find someone who has removed the soft top tray as well to help you not break any of the clips that hold it in.

if you bought your kit new, there shouldn't be too many problems, if you bought it used, i would do a very thorough inventory before you begin anything to make sure you aren't making trips back and forth to the hardware store for bits and pieces. luckily you can order any missing pieces from vortech and they are fairly reasonably priced.

best of luck to you, post here if you need any help

i appreciate it man. sadly im not skinny guy nor is my master mechanic/fabricator. i did buy my kit used but the person i bought it from had everything in bags and labeled so im hoping its all in there. didnt know you have to remove the charger to change the belt. how long is that process?
