Default need advice for SCing the S

i just bought a comptech w/ aftercooler and stock pulley. i was wondering if would it be a good idea to buy the e-manage blue for this set-up? i was thinking that eventhough ill be running on stock pulley itll maximize the performance of the car with such set-up for the meantime. but down the road im aso thinking of upgrading it to 7psi pulley but maybe a yr or 2 after. so having an e-manage right now would be just as the same as getting it later w/ the smaller pulley.

the next thing i would like to ask is that would it be ok to run without boost guage and AF guage since im running on stock pulley? i would prefer it this way so that people wont think i got SC in the car. i know the whine would be a clue for them but just for the sake of simple look on the S interior. i really would appriciate you input. and if somebody have same SC setup without having guages let me know. i would like to hear from you too. thanks

gauges you can go without but probably not recommended as for they arent just for show, they actually perform some type of duty. and as for your EMS question, yes you can run emanage but most people would prefer to run AEM EMS. and if you decide to boost higher in the future, you WILL have to go with AEM EMS eventually so... up to you.

You don't need any of that extra stuff, but if you would like it, buy it.

cant go wrong with the ems or guages, since they're still useful when u upgrade.

AEM EMS for sure, since there are more EMS tuners out there. U still dont need an EMS with 7lbs, the stock ECU will handle it. I figure if you're gonna get an EMS, get a 9lb pulley and some 750cc injectors.

Also, as far as gauges go, boost and AF are great, but makesure u get a WIDEBAND A/F, since the narrowbands are essentially worthless.

thanks for the input. i might run the car the SC w/out the EMS and probably the guages. but if theres any good deal with the EMS out there il find then i might get it. now is there any place other than the driver side pillar where i can put the guages without people seeing it from the outside? i saw theres one out there that got it by the radio door but i guess its much expensive for what im looking right now. again your help is very much appricaited.

I've seen them all over the S

1. Radio door, but like you said $$$
2. custom hole in cup holder cover
3. custom holes in dash

besides that, I think most people mount to the top of the dash or pillar.

I don't have ems or emanage with my setup. Is it perfect? No, but it does a pretty darn good job.

Defi makes a gauge cluster that goes in the radio door. You could probably rig something up that would be stealthy. Maybe put up a request in the gallery?
