need FPR

Now, the question is, how much boost do you have to be running to require an upgraded FPR with the AEM EMS and 440cc injectors.

FPRs and rising rate regulators are old school tuning. Now that we have a great EMS and a selection of injectors why go back to kludgey old mechanical methods?
Just so you know, I had the Comptech FPR with my Comptech SC. I also installed the AEM FPR (cos it's red).
I then went AEM EMS and 440cc injectors, followed by 550cc and now 750cc. I will soon go to 1000ccs.
Still got my nice red AEM FPR though.

I'm running the AEM EMS with 440cc injectors, Comptech SC'd, and will be installing a 4 inch pulley and tuning this weekend. Is keeping the Comptech FPR a no no? Should I pick up a different FPR before this weekend to prevent any issues? I don't have my stock FPR anymore. Are there more economical options if I do need a new FPR?
Thanks a bunch!

PS - No more off topic posts...got it.
You can make it work with your current FPR and that is the short term solution.
But if you're going to retune (and you should) now is the time to ditch the Comptech flying saucer. You can go an OEM for a few bucks (pick it up second hand) or the bling of the AEM.
How many lbs is a 4" pulley? I was running 8lbs with mine and I think the 440s were big enough but I did later upgrade to 550s.
BTW, I have a set lying around if you're interested.

a 4" pulley should make 7 or 8 psi. I think I'll stick with the 440's right now. I am tight on cash...if decide to go with an even smaller pulley I will find a set of 550's out there.
Thanks for the help!
