a short block runs about $2500 w/bc or inline pro rods, wiseco pistons and acl bearings. That includes ~$150 in shipping and you provide a block and crank.
Max hp on dry sleeved motor? And any warranty on parts and labor?

I'd run em up to 800hp w/o a second thought. much more than that and you'll need to goto aluminum rods and big valve stems, etc.. by that point may as well spend another $1000 and put full wet sleeves in it.

I warranty the blocks for the labor, the manufacturers dont warranty the parts (the whole race car parts thing). Basically I guarantee that the motors are put together correctly.

Pretty much.. I have only had one come back and that completely my fault. I was assembling 2 motors (one for me one for a customer) and switched the bearings after I measured them, leaving my customers motor with no oil pressure. His shop wouldn't work with me to get the motor back out so I paid to ship his car from TX to NC where I pulled the motor, fixed everything, tuned it and shipped the car back to him. (I originally built the entire long block, so we knew there was nothing the installers could have done to cause the problem.

It's tough to warranty this stuff, but I have a pretty detailed break in process that will allow us to catch any problems while they can be fixed and in the event something goes wrong I'll always do what I can to make it right.

I will vouch!! He has worked on my car for a couple of years now and everything is done right. Everything from clutch install, diff install, motor rebuild, SC install, turbo install...even fixed my power window when it was whacked. I had an issue with a thermostat going bad and he drove to my house to make sure the coolant system had been bled properly...I don't live around the block either.
