Default Rotrex C38-61 Supercharger kit

I'm planning on getting a supercharger kit for my 2007 F20C engine fitted using the Rotrex C38-61. I couldn't find anyone here who is currently running this setup. Seems like everyone running a Rotrex kit is using the C38-81 TTS kit. Apparently there are no problems with this setup running at 400bhp.

I'd like to find out how much bhp gain is realistic with the C38-61 setup using 750ccm injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, Hondata Flash-pro and OEM clutch. Basically I'm using the same parts as the TTS kits but the different supercharger.

Anyone here using the C38-61?

What power gain do you guys think I can expect considering I want a reliable car using the OEM clutch and no time bomb?

2007 F20C Sounds strange to a Yankee, of course on this side of the pond it is a F22C1. Strange to see how you chaps run the Rotrex and here it is a Novi for a S/C.

Good luck with build.

Hello. I've never heard of anyone using the C38-61 on an S2000. We have a couple of guys running a C38-81 and 91 though. If things go well for me I'll have either a C38-91 or 92 by spring on the TTS kit. I know of one on the 81 making 17lbs and approx 480whp on a land and sea dyno.

I know, Europe is Rotrex or nothing. It seems like most guys are using the TTS kit. I guess for a reason. Looks like the kit runs very stable and reliable.

Anyway, does it really matter if you use a 61, 81 or 91? According to Rotrex the 61 has a bhp range from 272-557, the 81 has 300-660 bhp and the 91/92 goes from 354-720 bhp.

Considering I am looking at a power gain of maximum 340-370bhp it shouldn't really matter which sc I used. Am I right?

I'm assuming OEM parts like the clutch or the cat will go first if you boost too much?

So what I'm really after is someone who is running a similar sc kit using OEM clutch and cat to tell me what psi boost I can run safely for a long period of time without damaging anything.

I have never heard of the C38-61 - was it designed for another market, e.g Asia or been superceeded?

You can import kits such as SOS in to the UK and I am running their set up with the Novi 1200 s/c (have a look at my signature for the full spec) and there are now at least 2 SOS kits that I know of in the UK. There are also guys running Comptech, also there is now a trader on the UK forum is selling the Kraftwerks kit which I believe uses a Rotrex blower and of course you have TTS.

You can control the power output you want wih the size of the pulley and 340-370 bhp can be easily achieved.

The OEM clutch should handle that kind of power but I guess it depends on how many miles it has done and if it's had a dog's life or not.

PSI wise, there are a few people over here how have been running 19-20 with no issues for long periods of time and I have been running 18psi for alomost 18 months with no problems.

61 might run out of breath and efficiency on f20 motor. At least run the 81 imho

OEM disc is fine but switch to a beefier pressure plate. We use the ACT Heavy Duty PP. This has shown to hold 500HP. Lots of people put too much clutch in for street driving.
