Default Need help finding a part

I didn't want to spend $300+ for a simple oil filter relocation kit so I opted to piece my own together. I have the lines, fittings, adaptor, and mount. I called up canton (supplier of oil filter adaptors) and was told that our car uses the 20mm version. The only problem is that I never mentioned that I'm not using the factory oil cooler so the canton adaptor I have will not just screw right on. With the oil cooler off the block is a female 22mm thread and the oil filter adaptor is a 20mm female thread.

Here is the adaptor I'm using.

I need to find some sort of "reducer" that is male on each end and reduces from a 22mm thread to a 20mm thread. I've tried searching for them and just don't know what to look for.

Any ideas? This is the only thing holding up my build.

Thanks!

You want this:

It's the oil filter spindle off a Civic. Not sure what year but they are all pretty much the same.

Ordered.

Hopefully I'll have the car wrapped up in a week or two.

You will have to cut off part of the bolt that Canton provides as it is to long. After threading in the Civic adapter, install the canton relo and tighten the bolt. You will be able to rotate the block relo piece by hand even though the bolt is torqued.
The bolt bottoms out on the civic adapter. At least it did on mine.

Aus, I got the part# 90015-PH1-013 and the threads look to match the factory bolt but it will not thread in the block. I noticed on your package below the part# it says G7A11. Mine says H8B18. Did I need to specify just more than the part#?

The piece looks identical to yours and the thread pitch and size looks identical to the eye when comparing the threads. As I thread it, it feels as if the thread is perfect for 1/4-1/2 of a turn and then it gets stuck. I don't want to try and force it in as we have an aluminum block. Any ideas why? The threads on the block are undamaged and the factory bolt still screws in just fine.

Hmmm, couldn't say. Compare the threads on the old spindle to the threads on the part and see if they match.
