I expect the 5 alphanumerics are a batch number.

Being a metric part if it fits even close it would be the right thread. Use some lube and some force.

Will do, it's just trying to thread a steel piece into an aluminum block when it feels like a cross thread gives me the willies. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
