it did come with an ECU, thats what the previous owner said. Later the same was upgraded to a stand alone Motec M400.

He probably meant some sort of black box plug in controller, not nessesarily an entire ECU in the traditional sense.

I had the stock vortech unit, and got rid of it for an emanage, way more power, or you can get the emanage ultimate, they aren't that expensive, you can get a used one for under 300.

Problem is that we dont have decent tuners here for AEM, i have a 2 new units with me of AEM EMS but none interested in buying those. Currently Hondata for Hondas and also few MOTECs as well, and now the new thing is haltec.

So you recon emanage ultimate can do it all? Will look into that.

Will look for the black box on the FS forums.

Anything else recommended to be changed while installing this?

- Injectors?
- Fuel Pressure Regulator?

good supercharger you don't need to up the fuel injectors but you do need the bigger fuel pump. and I would recommend bigger injectors but not needed. I would get them if you use the e-manage ulitmate and yes, it can run that system just fine, it is actually a lot better then the black box that vortech gives you. I would highly recommend a clutch upgrade also. since your there the flywheel if you have the funds. but neither are needed, just very useful. good luck with the build.

thanks.. will get the clutch installed as well. think will recommend emanage to the new owner. And part list can be checked while installing the Supercharger using the manual and whatever missing can be ordered i believe or you guys can recommend and alternative.

Bigger injectors, what capacity?

The V2/V3 models are listed here:

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=120

You have a V2 which is a part number ending in SQ. The 00-03 kit is #4HS218-010SQ. You say it's an 03-04 kit, but they have a separate kit for 04.

I believe the supercharger itself is the same, so you just need the parts for the 4HS218-010SQ kit. The parts list and install instructions for each kit is here:

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/downlo...020-010v4.0.pdf

FWIW I have a V2 with upgraded injectors and fuel pump that dynoed ~300whp. The stock clutch is doing fine so far but I don't beat on it. I'd run the stock clutch until it fails and go from there.
