Default Need just a bit of help with Timing on EMS

I just recently purchased this car from a supposedly "reputable tuner" it was his personal car. See my sig for specs, but it has an EMS. He said he had his tuner fly down and put a fresh tune on it before I bought it. Well once I started driving the car I noticed first of all, it didnt run that well it seemed, and it was crazy rich, I got like 10mpg, even if I went easy on it.. Anyhow, I got a fresh bosch 02 sensor for my AEM UEGO, calibrated it on a local dyno, and have been doing a bit of street tuning. I have an appointment to go back and have it tuned by the pro wednesday FYI, but I have been working on motors since I was 12, this is just my first EFI, AEM type programmable experience. So I have a fairly good feel for what I'm doing. So when I looked at the cal on the EMS, he didnt have the injectors set right, or the map sensor even selected, or the intake temp sensor!! So I fixed all that, and made sure the sensors were reading correctly and been doing some street tuning, making a run, anyalaying the log, making small adjustments to the base fuel map here and there, and ive really been able to stabilize my A/f considerably, and the car runs ALOT smoother, it used to fall on its face as soon as the vtec kicked in, now its VERY smooth, except for the rush of what feels liek another 50hp :-) Ive been aiming for around 12:1 A/F up to 10.5 or so around WOT, anyway sorry for the long setup, now to my concern, I looked at the timing map.

I looked at my timing map, and it just looks wild, I tried searching but wasnt able to find much. My basic assumption is this guy had no idea what he was doing, and either, this is why my car doesnt feel very strong, or he didnt bother setting up the ems with a timing light, and this is a compensation for that. the car runs good, and fairly strong, but just want everything to be perfect. I havent had any detonations (or any serious signs of them anyway, ive been monitoring the knock sensor, and have been ussing octake booster). Im curious what others timing maps look like that have similar setups. Does this look anything like reasonable to you? 30deg advance???

Any and all comments are appreciated, thanks.

I didn't review all of it but that map looks ok except it's not fully tuned out. PM me your email addy and I'll send you a copy of mine.
Are you using a boost compensation table?

I can't seem to copy my ignition table into a jpeg...hmmm

yes I am using a boost compensation table. So that 38deg of timing adavance looks correct to you? That just seems like alot of timing..

Let me know what you discover when you compare them.
