Default Need some help, completely lost

I just got a s2k with a comptech supercharger. It hesitates and boggs at 4k to 6k rpm. I was told the car was tune to save gas thats why it runs that way. I took car to dyno shop today and the shop said that it was was tune to save gas but dont know what is wrong. They think the belt might be slipping. I got the dyno sheet and it is only dyno at 192 rwhp. The shop said it should have at least 220 rwhp with that set up. The car make inconsistent 1-2 psi of boost under it hits 6k. Also between 4k-6k its flat. Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

How is it tuned to save gas?

It should be producing more like 260rwhp if not more. Check for a slipping belt.

Why would you SC and then tune to save gas? I wouldn't believe a word they told you.

Thanks for the reply, The dyno shop suspected a lost or worn belt. The boost graph was very bouncey and only stay below 2psi under the car hit 6k rpm. I have check the belt and has confirmed that the belt is slipping, but will a slipping belt cause the car to loose 60+ rwhp? Oh, and the dyno shop said the car was not tune to save gas at all.

Lets see here, the belt is used to spin the sc...a spinning sc creates boost...if a loose belt is not spinning the sc you lose boost...if you loose boost you loose hp..coupled w/ a crap tune or overly rich...we have your car

Thanks for the advise, I will try replacing the belt first. I was also wondering if i should replacing the pulleys to a under size pulley at the same time to increase boost. what do you guys think?

No, you can't just up the boost when you please and expect your motor to do fine.

Fix the belt first an make sure the car is running correctly before you start looking for more.
