Default need a temp map

Hey guys im gonna be driving my car 8hrs to TX to get it tuned as soon as i install my setup. Im wondering if anyone has a EMS tune i could use to limp my way there. id like one thats setup for low boost. I can use the injector conversion tool so injector size isnt an issue.

Im mainly concerned with the ignition table, i can tune the A/F because i have a PLX wideband. I will just run my wastegate/boost on just the wastegate spring, unless someone has a tune for 8psi...then ill hook up the MAC solenoid.

if anyone has a map close to what i need, just to limp to the tuner off boost, please let me know.

yea i realize that, but almost any low boost turbo tune would be safer than the OEM basemap which runs to much timing advance to drive and risk building boost.

Just so everyone knows, im aware of the risks. But i need something to get me to the tuner.

i know people hate a question being answered by asking a question, but why not ask the tuner for a basemap to get u there.

if your familiar with aem, then just rescale the map sensor, or pick whichever map sesnor u are using, then take the base map and just start subtracting like 1-1.5degrees per pound of boost in that part of the map. and just scale the fuel up.

then get it to idle and part throttle decent.

heres the thing, nonone is gonna send u a map they paid for, and risk it breaking your car. but, the tuner you are going to see have everything to gain by sending you a low boost temp map to get u there.

i would honestly tune the base stuff myself and then drive there. i presume you can too since you said fuel doesnt matter as you can tweak yourself. NA WOT timing at 8k is approx 25-28degrees. just subtract from there in boost by about 1-1.5 per psi. bam, base map.

be very cafeful that your base timing is correct IE checking 5 degrees is really 5 degrees. its one of the steps when installing aem ems.

good luck

yea i was worried about people not wanting to share since they paid for there tune.

I have never checked the timing, but the EMS was installed on another s2000 before i got it and i have driven with it while playing around with some features to get familiar and it ran and idles fine with the aem base map(tweaked fueling). But i guess the timing could still be slightly off.

Ill check that out.

ill also be using the stock map sensor. its good up to around 10psi IIRC. i plan on staying at 8psi for now so it should be fine.

yeah the thing is you have to scale the stock map sensor to read to +10.

NA from the base map its scaled -13.99 to 0. unless someone already did this.

compare the base map that comes with aem software to the one you have. as long as 0psi peak timing is around 25-28max. and peak timing is at peak rpm, then you should be decent. remember, your not going to put much any load on the car. do not go into boost unless you feel comfrotable with your tuning/tweaking ability.

What kind of kit you have? I called inline pro for my limp map and they gladly sent it.
