Wink <><>NEW Boost Member...

Hello to all my Boosted S2k brothas.. Just landed myself a killer deal on a VORTECH V3 Si kit (self-lubricating) w/aftercooler, 3.8 ASP pulley, RC 650cc Injectors, Kenne-Bell Boost-a-pump, and an AEM EMS 1052...

I have everything ready for install minus the fuel pump..

>>What fuel pump do you guys recommend, brand, and where can I buy it?

>>Also my curious question is should I upgrade to a head gasket for lower compression?

Last but not least, what other recommendations other than tuning, you would strongly suggest to make this BOOSTED experience better, reliable, stronger etc....

Please Chime in...

Thank you Rommel...

Most guys use the Walbro 255 pump. That's what I have.

I wouldn't upgrade to a lower compression, because the pulley you have won't make near enough boost to make up for the lost compression of a thicker head gasket. I think that is around a 10 psi pulley, but other SC guys should chime in.

Walbro 255L/H with a new factory soc, and a set of RC 750 injectors and your set.

The boost-a-pump is not needed.

No, headgasket on your car, just pick up a nice header and Ultimate Racings Air to Air. Then if you want to go a bit bigger port the head and add +1 valves.

Don't forget the Wideband and Boost Guage.

Just make sure you get yourself a great tuner!! Walbro 255 is the most common pump, and you wont need a headgasket unless you want to up the boost more in the future!!

I have the RC 650's already..... Does getting the 750's really make a better setup?

But thank you for the port advice, I was thinking the same thing down the line along with adding the UR Air-2-Air IC...

Hey Rom, just make sure the Walbro is from a walbro dealer. There's alot of the china made fakes being sold. Especially the one that we use, the Walbro 255lph GSS342.
