I find it very interesting that all of a sudden JR is working on an SC for the S2000. They never gave two shites about it before.
Jackson is starting out again. Not sure if they are back in it for the same reason JR started on in the beginning or if Oscar Senior is just trying build a legacy for Oscar Junior. In any case - I would bet that the Moss folks were calling the shots when the S2000 SC requests started coming about and they did not have the desire to pursue a limited production vehicle. Who would have thought the car would still be in production 7 years later.

Apparently its "the best of both worlds". You get low end power and instant throttle response (like a roots) from the "rollers" inside the compressor. And you get high end power, all the way to redline, just like a centrifugal.
I still don't know exactly how it works, but I know it is supposed to be lubricated be some sort of "special" oil and doesn't produce that much heat.
I think the "rollers" inside the compressor act as a mini-roots blower and keep spinning at the same speed at lower RPMs to produce the lower end torque, but I really have no clue.
I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure it will find some way to fall through the cracks.

That is just a marketing statement..
Why is this design any different than a Comptech or Vortech when it comes to boost profile?

Also did not get to eat lunch today so Blood sugar is a bit low.
So yes I am having a bit of keyboard diarrhea
but At least I made my point.
Modified my last, slimjim does that read better?

need to get some sleep
after reading about the Roterx compressor design (specifically the step up design)
and the Antonov Mechanical Module or AMM (dual, triple and even quad speed drive)
This setup would be the perfect solution for the S if the TB was moved to the inlet side of the compressor.
The AMM would keep the compressor spinning at the ideal speed to produce your desired boost at any rpm (roots style).
Since the compressor would be spinning at full (ideal) operation speed, moving the TB to the inlet side and keeping the compressor in a partial vacuum during off boost conditions reduces the parasite drag on the engine during cursing.
The dump valve would also not be needed; one less part to pay for.
