Default New Turbo Kit For Honda S2000?

I was on this website callled www.takakaira.com and I came across a company called top fuel so I clicked on it and to my suprise I saw that they made a bolt on turbokit that will make up to 400PS...I was just wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything about it. it goes for about 4K with a fully tuned ECU

There is no way they can claim their turbo is fully tuned. Every engine is different. Not to mention different climates in every state that will throw things way off.

Sure they can, Comptech and Vortech kits come "fully tuned". So does the Revhard and SSR engineering kits. However, they are not going to get the full potential out of the kit with that sort of "tuning".

well I just read the site.
JayStyles662 misread it b/c of the horrible English on the site.
It only includes the turbo, manifold and downpipe (which is shown in the pic).
They are saying that the intercooler and the ecu are *Required*.

But I could be wrong b/c those parts werent shown in the picture.

That's what I meant to say. They won't get the HP claims with their "full tune" from the manufacturer.

you guys are kidding right? Top Fuel is one of the biggest Honda Turbo tuners in Japan. That kit has been out for years... Keep in mind it is incomplete... no FMIC, no EMS, no injectors, no chargepiping, it is very bare bones. you get their manifold (which will not fit LHD from what I've heard) , turbine, and a few other bits and pieces... Top Fuel uses HKS FCon, and if you order direct, I know they have a complete kit as an option, but it's money... alot of money...

But JDM = Good!!!

That kit has been out for ages. It was even in the original S2000 HyperRev (No. 46).

I've seen it personally. Adrianc bought one secondhand from Japan and couldn't sell it. It was the Top Fuel kit plus intercooler and injectors etc. Ended up selling it to AndrewDoherty IIRC in England for $AUD4000 (about $USD3000). The base kit is $10,000 new.

From memory the manifold was a pretty rudimentary design. Let's just say things have moved on a bit since 2000.

I remember seeing that setup on andrews car... he got a hell of a deal... Unfortunately, Top Fuel didn't see any value in continuing to develop components for the S... their internals are pretty nice... The mani is kinda standard issue like aus said, which is why I wouldn't run it, but the turbines alone are money... HKS garret built go for 3k alone..
