Default New turbo kit horrable.

First thing, what is the best kit I can buy for my AP2? I want everything new, I already have engine management, injectors, FPR, and fuel pump. I just want a good quality kit that has a BOV unlike the greddy one.

After a week of scraping knuckles, laying in snow, being rained on, and freezing to death I finally got the turbo kit installed. I bought a manifold with a 3" exhaust (Apexi) all the way back. The manifold and downpipe were used. I had a brand new tial sport 38mm wastegate, rc injectors, greddy bov, and basically the whole nine yards. I bought an oil pan used as well with the bung already welded on it. The turbo was a brand new garret honeywell. A pretty nice pieced together kit with all top line stuff. After finally finishing the kit today I starter her up. All hopes and dreams hit rock bottom. I used a sandwich adapter on the remote oil setup and it didn't supply oil to the turbo. The exhaust manifold leaked horribly along wiht the downpipe. The oil pan was leaking out oil everywhere around the bung due to a poor weld job. The guy who sold it to me claimed he wanted to buy a new pan to reduce oil starvation. Yea, now I got oil starvation cuz I bought his crappy useless piece of metal. So I trashed all the garbage parts, and I need to get a better set up. I have the fuel pump, injectors, engine management, resistor box for the injectors, the apexi 3" exhaust, and the AEM FPR still on the car. It is out of commission until I get a new kit. So can you guys please help me out.

I need a new manifold, downpipe, turbo, oil lines, and a bung.

What is a good kit to get with about 4,000 dollars? (NEW)

Where can I get the greddy bolt on oil bung, I don't want to weld the stock oil pan. Or where can I get any bolt on oil bung?

Thanks!!

The greddy kit just uses a hose union that threads into where the OE drain bolt was, then a rubber hose is connected to the hose union that goes up to the turbo.

Sounds like mostly installation problems to me, not quality issues. Did you have the oil filter relocation lines backwards? If so, you will not get oil. I drilled and tapped a hole to screw in an oil return line. I used a 1/2" NPT (oil pan) and -10 an (oil hose) fitting.

uuummmm ya.... A crack in the manifold and a crack in the weld bung are not installation problems. And as for the relocation kit... It's dummy proof. Both ports say, "in" and "out" so you can't mess it up.

You didn't specify that it was cracked in the original post, it could have been a gasket issue, etc. Being as specific as you can helps greatly. I would tap into the OEM oil pressure sensor's oil for your feed line. What skibum said, give InlinePRO a call.

technically, the bung was an installation problem but not caused by you

if the manifold leaks take it to a machine shop to get resurfaced or find someone with a good belt sander
