Default Nitrous Help

Hey guys, i know i can come here and get good knowledge. I been running 75 shot on my s2k for a couple months now and the CEL always comes on, then goes off 5 minutes later, and does not come back on until i spray again weeks later. My A/F consistantly runs 11-1 under spray. Do you guys know why the light might be acting like this?

What code is it throwing? You should check that first, even if the light goes off you can still check it itl be saved in the car.

Drive to any Autozone, or Orielly's auto store (or similar) while the check engine light is on and have them use the scantool to determine the code. If you shut the car off, does the light go away?

Yes, the light goes away right away. So Im assuming it would stay on if it was a real problem. Maybe it just runs to rich? cause sometimes my A/F hits 10-1.

Just do what I did and spent a hundred bucks on a code scanner. They are universal and you can make your money back by charging friends 5 bucks to clear there code. Really works in smog counties like Gwinnett.

if the CEL goes away after cycling the power then it's not a major problem. those need to be reset with a scan tool or cycling the power to the ECU for a few minutes.

find out the code and let us know, until then there's too many things to guess.
