hey guys i was just wondering if any one had any insight on using the 3mm head gasket with nitrous ? any info would be greatly appreciated!

 

High compression works good with nitrous, i really dont know who would use a 3mm with nitrous. But u would have to spray extra hp to make up for the comp loss.

 

If you have an FI S2000 with a 3mm gasket and are considering nitrous this is a valid question. If you don't have FI and are asking if a 3mm headgasket would suit nitrous, no it won't.

 

I would have to agree with s2kdre and say us nitrous guys primarily use the high compression of the motor rather then lowering it...you would wind up using more nitrous to make up for the loss of compression from the thicker headgasket and this would negate any advantage you would get from it, how high of shot are you planning on running??? I could see a 175-200 shot on a thicker headgasket...but still even then...thats ALOT of stress on a stock motor...nitrous is a very aggressive way to gain/make power, be careful!!!

keep the stock HG, and spend that time and $ on a good direct port setup to ensure even distribution
