i dont know... i run 5w-30 but its getting close to winter so i'll probably swithc to 10w-30

35r = ball bearing.

tuning on a stock ecu with just an AFC is a TERRIBLE choice for a turbo this large. wait... AEM AFC??? im hoping you mean FIC. if not, i wouldnt be surprised if an awful tune is the culprit. 3500 miles on a motor is also way too early to turbo a stock motor in my opinion, but thats completely debatable.

what size injectors are you running?

check your oil level and oil and coolant lines to the turbo. see if there are signs of leaks. check your coolant level too while you're at it - while it's cold of course...

with a 35r you should be using a -3 feed line and a restrictor in line. how did they plumb the return oil? how did they plumb the water cooler to turbo? This sounds of improper install! typical of honda shops who think they can do turbos- --- i did a civic and a teg - i can do you s2000 - i have had many cars trailered to me almost in same condition. This is the shop/tuners problem, if you paid them make them fix it.

it's pretty much impossible to give any useful advice with the limited data that we have. That car needs a competent tech/tuner ASAP!

I wanted to say IC piping has a leak or popped off somewhere, it's much like what you described.... however if your SURE it's not then let's move on.

+1 for the vote that 3500 miles is too early to turbo.
+1 for questionable install.
+1 for your ECU could have been more wisely chosen.
+1 for 10w/30 FULL SYNTHETIC ONLY IN A TURBO!!! Never conventional because it can't withstand the temp of the turbo and its more likely it'll coke your lines up and fry the turbo.

I think you should tow this thing to a real tuner, otherwise I think maybe limp it to one but it sounds VERY unhealthy as is. White puffy smoke isn't a sign of "break-in" that I've ever witnessed. I'd call that install shop up and say WTF are you guys doing!!!!!

ANY more info you can provide would really help us out.

turbos have no break in period, and i highly doubt any tuner will fix white smoke shooting out of the engine bay.

we need more information. lots more. seeing no boost in the manifold and shooting smoke can indicate two entirely different issues.

i would love to see a list of his exact setup, who installed it, and who tuned it.

we need more clarification as well. there is no such thing as an AEM AFC. are you using an APEXI AFC? which one? AFC 1, AFC 2? VAFC? AFC NEO? or maybe you are using and AEM product? AEM FIC? AEM EMS? or maybe even perhaps an APEXI POWER-FC?

also, in the world of turbos, precision makes many different flavors, but i am unaware of any with '35R' in the serial number.

see if you can get a mod list that is complete and take some pictures of the engine bay, highlighting spots where oil has sprayed out like you said.
