Default Noise from engine on my turbo

Hi guys,

I still have a problem with my turbocharger setup. I have complet rebuild engine: AEBS sleeves, forged Wiseco piston 9:1, Carillo rods, ACL bearings, Ferrea Valve incl. dual springs, locators etc., Cometic HG (1mm thick), Rev hard turbokit stage2 w/ turbocharger T3/T4 (just oil cooling), relocation kit. NEW OIL PUMP.

I have big problem with oil press. It would be a problem with the noise (maybe from TCT or chain). Really dont know.

My oil press is 30-35psi idle, but just 60-70psi at 3000rpm (AEM oil press gauge). Sensor is on relocation kit, before the oil filter. Oil filter is OIL MAG II.

Can somebody help me? please :-(

I thought that the noise is piston slap, but the noise is to hear after 20min engine run.

I would like install oil cooler too, but im afraid, that the oil press will be else lower than now.

Last week i have damage on my engine, the one main cap was broken, maybe cause of low oil press. And gear between cam (new) look like hardly used. I mean grommet.

Many thanks and sorry for my english I live in europe, so dont attack me please :-)

We changed 3x TCT, each TCT has a little bit another sound. I mean, that problem is in low press, TCT cant stratch the chain cause of low press.

It would be big haphazrd, that three TCT would be wrong, but maybe yes, all TCT, what i have, are used.

Can I drive with these noises?

When you changed the TCT in the past, did the noise go away?

If it's not the TCT, then a similar noise can come from the timing chain gear if the bolt is not seated properly. This is a common mistake when reassembling the head and can cause that gear to rattle.

He mentioned his TCTs were all used. So they may've been removed by original owners because they were doing the same thing they're still doing on his car -> noise!!!

He needs to take the worm gear and sandblast it.

Idle oil pressure is good. Right where it's supposed to be.

Does VTEC engage? If yes, then high RPM oil pressure is good too.
If it seems 10 psi under, then it could be because of oil viscosity or brand/type.

Try Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic, I heard good things about Amsoil (if you can get it in Europe), also Valvoline synthetic. Go for 10W-30 oil.

Or to get new parts:

Price is not bad. Also try

negcamber: each TCT had similar noise, but a little bit another, one TCT is removed from running engine, so the problem wouldnt be on TCT. BTW. you have true, my timing chain gear was broken after ca 1000km. Ecactly the part 22 = washer.

Call me crazy....30psi at idle is perfect. And 70psi # 3000rpm is also. I dont see the issue. The car sounds like its got really noisy pistons to be honest. Sounds like forged pistons with a large clearance rattling in the bores.
