hey, so I bought a used vortech v2 and had it installed a few months ago, it's got a 3.8" pulley and is running 406bhp. When it was installed it had the rattle noise at idle and seems to be getting louder. I'm assuming that now it's colder here in the uk at the moment I should put a thicker oil in it? But is there an actual fix for the loud idle? Iv searched for hours and havnt found anything other than its only some chargers. If some s2000's have quite v2's then surely something can be done?

I have done bout 1000 miles since installing and there was no shaft play ect when it was fitted, but!! I have a small amount of oil coming out of the vortech bov so maybe this can be something to do with it?

Your help would be very much appreciated as this is seriously driving me crazy!!

They're all noisy. Rattling can kind of sound from them is normal.

 

is it an original V2? or a v2sq?

The original V2s are a lot louder.
