Default Novi 1200

I was looking into an ABEC-7 Ceramic Hybrid bearking kit for my novi 1200. Its not showing any signs of wear just yet but since im replacing the short block, was just gonna splurge and do afew other things while its apart.

Ive read that the OEM bearings in the novi are prone to a short lifespan and after some time reading articles on ceramic hybrid bearings, they look like a solid upgrade. The hybrid setup consists of ceramic balls and steel races/cages. I was looking at superchargerrebuilds.com and he wants $600 flat to install the new bearing sets and replace all the orings and seals.

- Better lubrication
- Longer lifespan
- Better heat dissipation
- Able to withstand higher loads and RPMs
- Able to tolerate more heat
- Their surface is more even than conventional steel balls

Any drawbacks besides $$$ and experiences from others here?

When are you going to get that thing dyno'd at the current 22psi?

520whp is strong at 17psi. DynoJet?

Yes would be nice to know where to get the ceramic bearings for this blower, I will be going down that road at some point in the future as well. I'd say your pushing that boundary pretty deep as is with the 2.8" but no signs of failure yet? How many miles at this level?

Less noise? That would be my personal reason to swap...

I'd be interested in this as well for my 2.8" setup.

I wont ever use 928 again. The upgraded 1200 impeller is only for the older version, but Carl would still sell you on the upgrade with the new 1200 if you didn't know it, because he doesn't know it, among many other things him and his Wife don't. Honestly he should stick to his racing and fabbing up his own parts for his own stuff he has any clue about.
