novi2000
Yeah, I was thinking about having a 1500 Bracket custom fabricated myself to use on mine. But realized that with what I am trying to accomplish on the car, the 2nd route is what is personally best for me.
The Novi 1200 is what I'm running of my Mustang. The advantage of the 1200 and the now the 1500 (it wasn't available when I supercharged the 'stang), is that they are newer more efficient designs. The reason I went with Vortech on the S. The Novi 1000 is an old inefficient design that has been known to break much more often than the comparatively new Vortech and newer (1200 / 1500) Paxton designs. The 2000 is the same basic design as the 1000 only bigger. The 1200 and 1500 were designed by the same engineers as Vortech since they bought Paxton a few years ago. I have nothing against the older Paxton. I've used there old ball-drive superchargers in the past and they were great at the time.
Anyway, if you are considering running the 1200 or 1500. I can probably trace out the template for it. It'll take me a few months as myself and the car are seperated by 1000 miles at the moment (I just moved).
I think you should just use the stock piece until you actaully max it out. As far as that goes, Mustang guys running the S-trim Vortech have run it out to aroung 65,000 rpms. You're not supposed to but it should hold. The idea is that pushing a small supercharger too hard will produce more low and midrange boost than than a large one pushed to produce the same peak boost. Even though you are over spinning it, you only do so a very short time and only at the top of your rpms. Even though the unit actually loses efficiency at those high rpms and your peak power might be lower than using the larger blower, the additional power you make over the rest of the rpm's will more than make up for it. Look at the compressor map for the superchargers and you might see what I mean.
The Novi 1000 is rated for up to 650 hp. If you are not coming close to that number, you don't need to go bigger.

ya, thats my next move. gonna talk to the guys at procharger on monday as well.
I never used one but they get reviews across the scale from 'piece of junk' to 'greastest in the world'. They use a 'timing belt' rather than gears internally for the step up ratio. That's about all I know.
