S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Now the problems begin.

Try dropping the MAP clamp voltage to 2.50. I had the same problem when my clamp was set at 2.90

datapoints? what do you mean? we tried pulling more and less timing max about 8 or 9 and as little as 3 and 4 degrees to no avail.
if we bypass the timing that would leave the ecu alone to do it and Ed said that letting the ecu pull timing via knock voltage was dangerous with 9psi boost.

I'd make 1 run with the e-manage not running the timing while listening for any signs of detonation.
I'm using the Vortech supplied split second Timing controller, on 7.5 psi. (remapped though)

I had such a horrible time fighting detonation at below boost RPM I never bothered trying to develop a full timing map for it.( with the e-manage) Especially since I had a funtioning Vortech controller. I was having to retard -10 degrees at 4K rpm to stop detonation with the E-manage. With the Vortech part, max timing retard was -6 at full boost.

Ed's correct, letting the PCM pull all the timing at 9psi is a bit dangerous.

dropping the MAP clamp is a good idea as well, I've seen cars with the clamp level set to close to the BARO volts and run into weird problems.

Well I am gonna talk to Ed today and see about trying some of these ideas. I just wish he wasn't so far away.

what about going back to the comptech esm for map clamp? should I still use the boost sensor to tune or can I not do that with out using the boost cut eliminator?

If you are using e-Manage, then use the GReedy boost sensor to tune.
You can use either e-Manage Boost cut or the CompTech ESM, but personally I would use the e-Manage. Less variables in the mix, but either will get the job done.

Hey, what the deal with this? I saw that you posted your e-Manage for sale, along with the ESM. What are your plans at this point?

I am selling the rest of that stuff to raise a little cash. I am gonna take some of these ideas and try one more time this week at the tuners and if not I am gonna take the proceeds from that thread and go AEM ems. I am listening to my car misfire at idle right now. sigh. gonna limp to nopi and show off for the weekend but no dyno contest This makes me feel impotent. We will see what happens at the dyno next week.
