Oil Capacity w/ Oil Cooler
Hey all,
For those of you running an oil cooler, do you fill additional oil to account for the increased capacity? Mishimoto says their cooler adds 0.6 quart capacity. Would the right move be to just add an additional 0.6 quarts when filling up?
Thanks-

It is best to figure this out when you fill up. The length of the oil cooler lines will play a part in the total capacity.
With an oil cooler, and the canton pan, I have a total of 7 quarts total capacity

With the supercharger and 25 row oil cooler, I put about 6 Quarts in now. Just fill it up until you reach the H on the dip stick, and determine how much oil that is. Keep in mind, unless you drain the cooler separately during oil changes, the first fill up will likely consume more oil than subsequent changes.
oil changes are still the same because when you change the oil most of the oil that is in the oil cooler stays in the cooler. but typical oil coolers add about 1 quart of oil to the system.
