Default OIL COOLER BLOCK OFF

I am installing a mase kit that i purchased from someone in this site.... i thought it was a built on kit, but now I'm realizing its not... the exhaust manifold touches the hose thats just above the oil filter. I was wondering if that hose (which i know is a cooling system for the oil) is necessary... has anyone blocked it off before? Please let me know whats your experience if you have been through similar issues... thanks in advance

Not needed depending in your driving style. If you do a relocate kit you add capacity to the system and it's Def fine for street fun. That's what I have.

I replaced mine with an oil cooler by adding a spin on sandwitch adapter.

here is the adapter (made by earl's)

here you can see the new lines going to the oil cooler which is in the top right corner of the pic:

I will be redoing it all though when I add a dry sump system this spring.

Just a heads up. Keep an eye on that manifold. Tends to crack.
