Default Oil Cooler Removal

This is not a debate thread first off.

Has anyone removed their stock oil cooler? I don't want to relocate my filter, but would like to remove my stock oil cooler.

The problem is, the bolt that held the entire assembly on is too long without the cooler in place. I know other Hondas don't use those coolers and was wondering if I could purchase a bolt from another Honda for the filter to thread on to.

Anyone who has done this that could chime in?

Thanks in advance.

I am 99% positive that it's from a 99-00 civic si . I think they cost under $5.

There is a thread on here, I "think" I created a few months back about that very question.

Someone posted up the link and everything for the part, b/c I asked the same question.

It's easy. All you do is take the cooler out and loop the coolant lines and go to Honda and buy the oil filter stud off a 99 si or a 94-01 integra ls and installed it.

Any oil bolt from any newish honda that does not have a cooler will fit. It's the same part number which is:

90015-PH1-013

I just took my stock oil cooler off last month. My greddy one is plenty.

I may have missed it, but that link doesn't have the part number for the u-bend hose that connects the coolant port from the block to the tube on the front of the engine.

From Advance Auto Parts, the part number for the u-bend hose is A71621.

Thanks to dsddcd for that part number when he helped me with my removal.
