This is not a debate thread first off.

Has anyone removed their stock oil cooler? I don't want to relocate my filter, but would like to remove my stock oil cooler.

The problem is, the bolt that held the entire assembly on is too long without the cooler in place. I know other Hondas don't use those coolers and was wondering if I could purchase a bolt from another Honda for the filter to thread on to.

Anyone who has done this that could chime in?

Thanks in advance.
Why do you want to remove the factory cooler? Just wondering........

Thanks!

the part number stated is the correct part, ive been running mine for over a year now with zero issues without the cooler and the coolant line looped, its frees up alot of space with certain manifolds.. be sure to clean the threads throughly of oil and use threadlocker on the first install of the fitting into the block as it will try to come out with your filter on oil changes.

I removed mine and used the coolant fittings left over for the turbo. Works great, no problems here.

I may have missed it, but that link doesn't have the part number for the u-bend hose that connects the coolant port from the block to the tube on the front of the engine.

From Advance Auto Parts, the part number for the u-bend hose is A71621.

Thanks to dsddcd for that part number when he helped me with my removal.
Check again, it's there.
