Default Oil feed line to turbo

Just a quick question, has anyone else had any problems with the oil feed like to the turbo leaking (more of a spray though), it is only alittle bit but the oil then drops onto the manifold and smokes

this is the oil line

this is what it does to the engine

then it seems to run down the line onto the turbo blanket and then smoke

would it be best just to get a new oil line

just get a new line. you dont want it to catastrophically fail and lose oil pressure

Can you see where its leaking from (what part of the fitting)? You might be able to remove it, put some teflon tape on the threads, and re-tighten it down. That is if its leaking from the thread area. If its leaking where the actual fitting is attached to the hose, you will need a new hose/fitting.

I think I recall someone on here having some issues with their Earl's fittings leaking through a little screw hole on the fitting... I seem to recall it spraying a bit too....

Get it fixed before you lose oil pressure... Oil starvation would kill a LOT of expensive things under that hood!

or you can get a pre made -4 or -3 nitrous line, change the fitting on the turbo to a 90 degree and viola

you should be able to get a new line fairly easily. Beauty in the honda blocks is they're 1/8" bspt fittings, which should be easy for you to get since you're in the U.K.

The way the line is binding up in multiple places looks like you have it overtorqued... these lines can only be bent up to a certain angle before they fail or crimp which would sorta describe what you're talking about...
