Default Tap in Oil pan

1. So where is the best spot to tap a hole in the oil pan?

2. Where is a good place to get the adaptor that I should get welded onto the oilpan?

Thanks

What are you doing? Oil temp, oil return, oil cooler, or what? Location depends on what and clearances.

An oil return for a supercharger/turbo in the upper front left:

Sideways,

Yes it would be for a oil return. Could you maybe post the pick again so it would work, I would be interested to see it? Also where would I go about getting the correct fittings for a oil return?

Thanks

An oil return for what? Supercharger or turbo? If it's for a turbo, it all depends on how and where you mount the turbo. Let's get more specific here!

Take a look under the car and look for a spot on the pan that is open (enough room for fittings and oil line). As long as it's near the top of the pan and clears the everthing under the pan...(oil pump and crank). On Vortech SC they are tapped in the front of the engine which is where the one in the pic looks to be, which you could do but you would have to run the oil line around the side of the block and up to the mani.
