Default Oil Leak after s/c install

I installed a comptech supercharger a few months ago. It's freaking sweet. But... I am leaking oil. Just a little oil. If I let my car sit for a week, I get a spot maybe 3 inches in diameter. On my dip stick I haven't even noticed the leak. What I do notice is the horrible smell of hot oil when I drive. So it seems that the oil is leaking from between the VTEC solenoid, the supercharger mounting bracket, and the cylinder head. When I touch the bottom of the mounting block it is oily. I just unmounted the supercharger and replaced the O-ring gaskets thinking that was the problem but after reassembling them, I still have a slight oil leak. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it a new or used kit?

You might want to check if the oil is coming from the oil return line underneath the snail.

Are you talking about the gaskets between the vtec solenoid and the mounting bracket? Is that the one your replaced?

Yes it was a new kit and yes I am talking about the gaskets between the vtec solenoid and the mounting bracket, the ones with the screens in one of the holes. Unfortunately my car is parked a 5 minute drive from my dormatory so I can't check the oil return line under the snail... That might be it but if it is, I don't understand why the mounting bracket would have wet oil underneath it. I do not know what the unit is directly underneath the vtec solenoid is. Obviously that wasn't messed with in the install but do you think that the leak could be coming from there?

Who did the install?

You should check to make sure the 10mm bolts holding the vtec solenoid are tightened to specs. Don't over torque them or they will strip the block.

Take a rag or paper towel and wipe around the oil return line and see if there's oil.

Do you have a BOV? or a bypass valve? Could it be "blow by"?

Is your air box the comptech setup? Need pics and more details.

I did the install and I like your suggestion about tightening up the vtec solenoid bolts... I already did that however and... well, that 8ft-lb torque spec is no joke, I sheared one bolt off inside the cylinder head. I got it out and replaced the bolt, but I'm pretty sure I have those bolts snug enough. This weekend I'm going to put it up on the lift and look at it from the bottom, maybe I'll see some oil spots somewhere else. I don't have anything installed right now other than the the components that came with the supercharger/aftercooler kit. Thanks for your suggestions.
