Default oil pressure loss at idle

I Have an aem ems for my comptech s/c and occasionally when i clutch in and let the revs drop they will drop to what seems like 300 or 400rpms and the oil light blinks for a second before the revs come up to about 1000. Is this a problem from the ems or something else? The car is getting a re-tune on friday probally, that light just scares me and im wondering what it is/what to do.
CHRIS.

I would think that 300/400 rpms is really low RPM's and it would probably trigger the light for 1/2 sec. then again I don't think my car has ever gone down that low in RPM's in between shifts.

It is not inbetween shifts, if im driving at 2500 rpms or so and come to a light i will clutch in and the revs will drop below the 750-1000 the car usually idles at.

if the car drops that low, the light will flicker.

Its probably not an oil pressure problem, maybe more of a tune. how many miles on the car?

has the motor had any oil starvation problems in the past?

Actually yeah true. RPM's would never drop that low in between shifts.

My car actually now that I recall used to do that when I was supercharged way back then but never dropped that low to trigger the light.

In general, drops in oil pressure are not a good sign. Are you sure the oil pressure is below normal just at idle or is it starting to show lower pressure at higher RPMs as well? What are your idle settings?

It may, as Ya suggested, be more of a tune issue; though it's important to find out quickly. If it's not the idle settings / tune, then the drop in oil pressure is something to take serious and act on quickly.

when the light turns on the car is at about 300-400rpms. i mean there is only one or 2 of the tiny rev incriments where there would usually be like 7 for 1000rpms. Im getting the tune on monday along with a 3.875 pulley. Im looking foreward to the new boost.
