Oil in turbo inlet and running lean
Shaft play is still the same as before. Very minimal side to side and no in & out.
Hopefully a new clamp fixes it.

So I finally get a call from Precision after waiting for almost 2 weeks! I actually spoke with the guy that took the turbo apart so I thought that was cool. He said "the turbo looked like it was getting shutdown hot" . He asked if I was using a turbo blanket, which I am. He said "the blanket is holding in too much heat and basically cooking the oil after shutdown."
He didn't say anything about too much oil pressure. He did say it had alot of oil build up in the exhaust side. So pretty much I need to lose the blanket and get the exhaust side ceramic coated ( He said this was fine). Everything is going to be covered under warranty so I'm pretty happy about that.
Anybody else ever heard of a blanket holding in too much heat? The blanket isn't covering the center section so I don't really know if that's what caused it. Maybe the high oil pressure was just pushing oil past the seals and thats why he came to that conclusion?

It kinda makes a little sense. I may be switching over to a stainless shield and ceramic coat the housing. Will do more research on it first though.
The blanket is surely a problem to SOME degree on every setup. Coking is only going to be worsened by a blanket as the snail is held hotter thus the cartridge is too. Without a restrictor I'd be amazed to not see oil blowing by the "seal" (it's not a seal really) in this setup.
You can/should keep your blanket for sure, just let your car idle for a bit before you shut it down daily. I give myself 30 seconds generally and have never had a problem after looking at the turbo 3 times for inspection. If you're not water cooled I'd give another 60 seconds on top of that if you were on the throttle hard. If I'm not hardly on the throttle at all I just give 10 seconds.

So WTF!
Got the car all put back together this morning and went for a test drive. Now it feels like its cutting out when accelerating lightly and sometimes at idle it sounds like its missing. Both of these happen intermittently.
All the injectors are working and the AFR is normal. I pulled the plugs and the tips on all of them were perfect. The plug in cylinder #2 had what looked like oil or fuel on the threads, this was the only plug like this. I'm going to replace the plugs tomorrow and see if that works but I'm thinking it may be a bad coil.
Shit is starting to piss me off lol. I wanna drive!
